Medical Writer
We are seeking a medical writer with 2-5 years of professional writing experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or with medical communications companies.
Candidate should have proven scientific writing skill, experience in the preparation of manuscripts from clinical study reports and other scientific documents, and ability to interpret clinical data. Proficiency in web-based medical search engines, knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EndNote, familiarity with AMA style, and ability to accurately cite references is required. Basic understanding of, or prior experience in pharmaceutical marketing and strategic publications development, is desirable.
Candidate will interact with the publications teams, project managers, clients, authors, and others to create high quality output, and must be able to handle tight deadlines and concurrent projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Development of review and clinical research manuscripts from literature and clinical study reports
- Development and preparation of medical monographs
- Development of content for slide and poster presentations from raw data sets and clinical summary reports
- Working with graphics team to create content (tables & figures) for promotional medical education activities.
- Development of accurate speaker's notes from published material for incorporation into Power Point presentations and other formatted presentations, as needed.
- Preparation of executive summaries and other meeting reports
- Editorial support, including (but not limited to) document proofing, revision and repurposing, and validation of factual statements, data, data sources, and bibliographies.
An advanced degree in a life science or pharmacology is required; a PhD or PharmD is preferred.
